Shilajit is a thick, sticky tar-like substance that is thought to be of plant origin found predominantly in rocky mountain areas in Asia. Its color ranges from white to dark brown. It is used in Ayurvedic medicine and prized for its high fulvic acid content. Fulvic acid is thought to improve gut health and skin. Shilajit has also long been thought to rejuvenate the whole body.
Shilajit is used in health supplements today to support the immune system and help enhance energy.
