Chaste berry is the fruit of the chaste tree, which is native to Central Asia and the Mediterranean region. It got its name from the belief that it promoted chastity, and it was used by monks in the Middle Ages to decrease sexual desire.
Chaste berry is used in health supplements today to promote hormone balance in women and to normalize menstrual cycles.
